Size & Coverage: Does It Match Your Litter Setup?

For larger mats, dimensions are everything. A mat that’s too small won’t catch the scatter; one that’s too big might not fit your space.

What to think about:

  • Do you want the mat in front of the box or under + in front?

  • How far does your cat actually jump or step out?

  • Do you have one box or a multi‑box “litter station”?

A good rule of thumb:

  • Front‑only setups: mat depth should at least match the distance from the box entrance to where your cat’s front paws land.

  • Under + front setups: mat should cover the entire footprint of the box with extra space at the exit.

Tip: Measure your litter box (length and width), then look for mats with clearly listed dimensions (for example: 45×60 cm, 55×75 cm, 60×90 cm) so you can visualize coverage before you buy.
